Discount outdoor equipment and clothing
Club members can obtain a discount on outdoor and
camping equipment at Base Camp 9-13 West Port, Arbroath. When making a purchase
state you are a member of Angus CC. Adrian Hill, the proprietor will check your
name against the present club membership list.
Hostel Weekend 7/8 October 2011
The YHA hostel at Wooler is booked for the weekend of 7/8th of October. Wooler
is just south of the border in God’s country. It is about 138 miles from Forfar
heading south towards the sun, out of the land of the wooden spoon into the land
of champion rugby players. Cost will be approx £15 per night. However based on
20 people we can have exclusive use for approx £18 per night alternatively 24
people going would bring the cost back to £15 per night. Names to Tom or Mary
with a preference for sole use or sharing.

Dates for the diary
Following Bryan Williams suggestion that we meet to discuss promoting the
club/attracting new members, it is proposed that a meeting will be held on
Monday 21st March at 7pm in the Club rooms. We will bring along an extra heater
and Bryan said he will bring along a bottle of wine! All those who would like to
contribute to this discussion please come as the more ideas we have the better.
Volunteers needed
If
any member is willing to take a turn in writing up the Sunday run for the
Dispatch, (one suggestion has been to write up the runs fortnightly or monthly)
please send your names to Mary Ward in the first instance.
Club Magazine
Mary has 4 articles for the 2011 club magazine. Please please please could you
contribute an article, or even send in a photo or two with a caption. It would
be good to have another magazine out this year, even if it is a short one.
